GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Like the name suggests, the GE Profile series targets consumers who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology in their kitchen. This refrigerator has it all from a Keurig K cup coffee maker in the door to a sophisticated dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly and I was expecting better.

This refrigerator is a good choice, despite the blip. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a fair amount of frozen food in comparison to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on par for the size of a French door fridge costing this much. It comes with a decent size freezer in the left side. However, it's not the largest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in both compartments to create custom storage setup for whatever you have to keep. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is stylish, too. Its LED lighting is a nice touch and the storage bins come with a third shelf that folds up beneath itself to make it possible to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls so you can set them to Beverage, Meat, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place in the globe. It also comes with a lot of customization options. It also alerts you when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. It also has a countdown feature on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Created to appear as a seamless element of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is one of a kind. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer periods, and dual compressors to preserve food. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This fridge is perfect for a single family or kitchenette that needs an attractive design and top of the highest quality food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0°F and never changed more than a fraction - this is crucial to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within an hour and maintaining the temperature constant over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. The app lets you monitor and control your fridge remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is pricey however, it offers excellent features and functions at a reasonable price.

It is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the fridge. You might need to be inventive with tall items since the fridge is limited in shelf space. The shelves aren't resistant to spills and are easily stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays are easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they must be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great option for those who need lots of space within a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge features a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized door bins at each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for taller items. There's also a full-width storage drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it easy to move the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also comes with thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to sort your things. It also has a large container to store frozen food items, and a separate container for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a nice way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. The fridge took a bit longer to defrost food and chill it than some others we tested. This could be due to the greater capacity.

The other issue we have with the door of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been more effective if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the benefits of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a little less than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a French door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a basic refrigerator that may not be as eye-catching like some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make it a suitable option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large ice maker and a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This drawer allows you to direct some of the fridge's cooling power into this area so that you can keep food items that require extra attention. You can alter this feature by using the slider located on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge but I've noticed that adjusting the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

In my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in various parts of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance however it doesn't rank among the best in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise readings of your fridge's temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
